Translations

Today there are a lot of translations into English available. This is not only because language itself is organic and changing, but also because the translators may have a different
end use in mind.

There are versions for study (accurate but clumsy), versions for reading aloud, versions of limited vocabulary for those whose first language is not English.

It can be helpful to have two translations side by side (inter-linear) to help get at the original’s meaning. It can also occasionally be confusing!
Try before you buy.
There's a useful Net based study version with translator's notes on difficult (or obsure) passages.

Concordance

Half remember a text and
want to find it?

A concordance takes a key word (or phrase) as input, and searches for every occurrence of it in (in this case) the bible.
