Our aim:  to proclaim God’s glory as one body, displaying the life and love of Jesus

Meet our pastor

In March 2009 our minister Richard was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma – a form of cancer that affects the bone marrow cells.

We are praising God that after six months of chemo treatment and a successful stem cell replacement procedure in September, Richard is making slow but steady progress towards recovery. He has been able to return to some preaching and to taking part in Sunday services during December and looking to a full return to work by the New Year.

He is so grateful for all of the prayerful support that has been given to him and Linda over these past 9 months from so many different people and Christian fellowships. He truly believes that “…through the prayers of God’s people and the help of the Holy Spirit…” (Philippians 1 v 19) God has delivered him through this difficult and testing time.

Together with the church we look forward to the New Year with renewed confidence and hope in the Lord that He that has begun a good work in us will bring it to completion in Jesus name.

Richard and Linda Palmer came to us from Bournemouth in 2002.
Richard was formerly an engineer with Ford Motor Company, before he trained for Christian Pastoral Ministry at Spurgeon’s College between '86 and ’89.

Text of the year (from Titus Ch 2, verse 14)
Jesus Christ….gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness
and to purify for himself a people that are his very own,
eager to do what is good.”
