Our aim: to proclaim God’s glory as one body, displaying the life and love of Jesus
Seniors: opportunities to meet others
TUESDAY IS SPECIAL for SENIORS
Each Tuesday in the month is set aside for a wide range of activities for local seniors.
Most of them are based in the Baptist Church, although
the FIRST TUESDAY in the month usually happens in a home where TEA & TALK is the order of the day:
Talk is never a problem!
And something home-made is generally the order of the day - usually with a tenuous link to the topic of the afternoon.
Keeping to the topic can, however, be more difficult!!
But everyone returns home with something to think about and with a fresh thought about life and faith, hopefully
Meeting Point meets on 2ND TUESDAYS – usually at 2pm (although it’s always wise to check, as we sometimes have lunch together or go on an outing). Our time always involves an activity of one kind or another and refreshments - sometimes an interesting talk or presentation.
The aim is to have fun and a chat together.
Why not come and join in the fun?
On 3RD TUESDAYS a larger group gathers for the Village Lunch Club. With four different cooks the meal is varied – each one has their own specialities – and for £4 it’s excellent value – and we’re able to support local charities at Christmas time too!
THE 4TH TUESDAY is in process of change, though its main focus remains in developing faith in a relaxed way.
For information about any of the above do contact Gill Roberts (01494-677281)
who will be pleased to help in any way possible.
